  1. The opening Nativity scene was really beautiful.

I have only seen a few movies with Overture and Intermission. The version I watched had the English Intermission followed by a foreign language announcement, but the same music. 🙂

Since I only remember seeing this on TV, the full movie is quite impressive. I applaud Wyler’s use of the actors facies to reflect the quiet power of Jesus.

I am in total agreement with you on trying to remember who did what in which movie. I add The Bible and Moses into my mix.

The depiction of the leper colony struck me as more caring than in other stories. The town not only lowered bread, but fresh vegetables as well to the people.

Thank you, again for the insights.

    • The opening Nativity scene really is great, and I’m glad you mentioned it. I love seeing these old “road show” releases with their full overtures, entr’actes, and exit music. It makes me feel like I paid top dollar with reserved seats at one of the premiere screenings. I’m glad you’re enjoying my posts. I’m enjoying your comments, as well.
